Online eMeeting with Oadby Police

The Oadby neighbourhood team are inviting residents to take part in their first online eMeeting on Thursday July 5.

Officers from the Oadby neighbourhood team will be available online on Thursday July 5, 2012 between 6.30pm and 7.30pm to answer any questions about local issues and policing in the area.

PC 1259 Michael Thomas, one of the neighbourhood officers for Oadby said; “I am pleased to be hosting the first eMeeting and would like as many people as possible to come forward and ask a question. This is your forum to ask anything about policing in your area.

The eMeeting is open to anyone who lives or works in the Oadby area, log on to www.leics.police.uk/oadbyEmeeting  to discuss any issues or concerns in your area or to find out more about your local police officers.

Inspector Sian Walls, Commander of Oadby and Wigston LPU said; “This is a great opportunity for people to ask questions about crime, anti-social behaviour and crime prevention and how as partner agencies we tackle these issues, especially in the run up to the holiday period.

We take advantage of modern technology which now enables us to engage and communicate with local communities using the internet; however we will of course continue to use more traditional methods as well, such as beat surgeries.”

Oadby consultation events will be held regularly online on the first Thursday of every month. For details of other upcoming and past online chats please visit www.leics.police.uk/webchat and www.leics.police.uk/rpuwebchat.
