Prolific Shoplifter

Operational Update

The team, working alongside the Chadwell Neighbourhood Policing Team, have been actively monitoring a prolific shoplifter targeting the local Home Bargains store.

While on patrol today, PC 1137EA and PC 2807EA identified a male matching the description walking along Chadwell Heath High Road. The male was subsequently arrested for a number of outstanding shoplifting offences.

We understand the impact repeat shoplifting has on local businesses, staff, and the wider community. We will continue to carry out high-visibility patrols and proactive work to address crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.
