Below are 3 main categories for our V4 training: Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced. These sessions are provided as part of your core license and our commitment to ensure that all administrators can confidently use the system.  They are delivered over Teams (options available for Zoom etc). These are group sessions open to any and all license paying Police clients.

Please arrive 5 minutes early, you will be asked to book in. To book a course, please follow the link and select an appropriate time, the Teams details will be sent to you with a calendar invitation. Please take note of any session pre-requisites provided on the links (these will be included in the course description) such as videos to watch etc.

Beginner

Applying for an admin account

This guide includes where to find your account application form, what an Administrator Team is, and who gets the applications and approves them.

Core Rapport Training (1 hour)

This session aims to cover all of the important elements that most Police admins will use on a day-to-day basis including adding new users to the database, finding people and groups around you, sending messages and dealing with replies. We recommend this session to most Police admins who need training on the system.

Attending a live session means you will be able to ask questions and your training attendance will be recorded on your admin account.

Core Main Admin Training (1 hour)

This session aims to cover all of the important elements that most Police admins will use on a day-to-day basis including adding new users to the database, finding people and groups around you, sending messages and dealing with replies. [Requires Priority Survey Tool]
Delivering a priority survey (30 minutes)

This session aims to cover accessing and delivering the survey (Rapport), Using the targeting options for priority groups (Rapport), and sending "issue based" messages. There will then be a Q&A session at the end to cover any remaining questions.

Engagement Tracker Training (30 minutes)

This session aims to cover all of the options within the Engagement Tracker tool, when accessed from the Rapport admin area. This includes: adding engagements and viewing existing engagements added by you and your Team.

Creating Recipient Lists (30 minutes)

This session aims to cover how to create successful and useful recipient lists, and also how to turn those recipient lists into "quick link" buttons which can be accessed quickly on Rapport and shared across all admins.

Advanced

Roles of a Super User (Full Main Admin Training) (1 hour)

This session aims to cover the following:

  • What key actions a central administrator needs to be aware of.
  • Database management (when it comes to incommunicados, comms issues, duplicate users etc.)
  • Creating message templates which can be used organisation-wide.
  • Approving new admin account applications.
  • Managing administrators
  • Managing groups

Group management (30 minutes)

This session aims to cover adding new community groups, understanding the groups settings, adding people to groups and targeting groups with messages.

Survey Module Training (1 hour)

This session aims to cover all the important information to get you started with our opinion gathering tool. This includes looking into the different question types available (including community group and demographic questions), building a survey from start to finish, creating a campaign from a survey, trickle-feeding survey questions into Alert emails, methods of distributing the survey, gathering results and executing follow-ups based on responses given.

Enhanced Survey (Priority Survey) Training (1 hour)

his session aims to cover setting priorities for your area, target list activity tracking, planning engagement with the LEA, investigating performance with the Star Points report, priority survey dashboards and final tips & guidance.

Demos & Overviews

What is Rapport? (30 minute overview)

This session provides an overview and discussion of the possibilities of Rapport, who should use Rapport, why you might need Rapport and what it can enable for you. This session is not really a training session, but an overview and discussion session.

Prerequisites: Visit this page for an overview and perhaps watch the Introduction to Rapport 10 minute video.

Survey Module Demonstration: What can it do? (1 hour)

This session provides an overview and discussion of the opinion gathering/survey functionality of the Neighbourhood Alert system. We will cover how easy internal and external surveys can be created and configured, how surveys can be used to keep an already-existing database accurate, and also how they can be used to grow your database.

VISAV Ltd offer bespoke training with the Alert system, which can be carried out either face-to-face or online via a web meeting

Training to most police staff is usually provided on Rapport, our dedicated system for mobile use, though training is also offered on the main Alert admin to staff who have a more office-based role. Training sessions can be tailored to your needs, whether for the main Alert system, or one of its modules such as Community View, our survey tool.
