Hope the message finds you well, I am sending this message with an update for the formal consultation about changes to road markings on Highfields Road and junction of Salisbury Road Dronfield. I have been made aware that the initial consultation has closed on 6th November 2026. I have emailed the officer in charge following some further concerns raised by local residents, these been that there was no formal information about the discussed hatched markings at each end of the shops. The second part being in relation to the reduction of the limited wait time area in front of the shop.
I have written to the DCC officer looking after this application along with DCC councillor Dale in relation to recommend that the limited wait area runs the full length of the shops and also the hatch markings are still been considered in relation to what was discussed earlier in the year. My understanding is the next stage of the process is for the officer to look at the objections etc and formally present the plan to the council formally to move it to the next stage.
