Fraudsters are increasingly posing as Amazon customer service and claiming someone is trying to make purchases using your account or bank details.

Remember that genuine service providers, banks and the police will never call asking you to:

Transfer money

Share personal or financial details

Hand over remote control of your computer, phone or other device

If you receive a call:

• Hang up immediately.

• Check your Amazon account directly through the official app or website.

• Contact Amazon using contact details you know are genuine.

• If your bank account may be at risk, call your bank directly.

Don't trust the caller ID on your phone. It can be faked to look genuine.
