Ward Sergeant's Update - Change of Sergeant for Belsize

Ward Sergeant's Update - Change of Sergeant for Belsize

Here’s what your Safer Neighbourhood Team has been up to this week

This will be my final Ward Sergeant update for Belsize.

For the past year, I have had the privilege of serving as the Ward Sergeant for Belsize and I have genuinely enjoyed my time on the ward.  During that period, I have had the pleasure of leading three outstanding officers: PC Iqbal, PC Thompson and PCSO Sall-White.  They work tirelessly to keep Belsize residents safe, despite increasing demands on their time.  Their dedication, professionalism and commitment to the community have been exceptional.

As of Monday, Belsize's new Ward Sergeant will be Sgt James Garrett.  James is a hardworking, dedicated officer who cares deeply about the communities he serves.  I know that everyone who lives, works and visits Belsize will be in very capable hands.

I have now been tasked with focusing my efforts on Gospel Oak ward, where I will continue to do everything I can to make it a safer place to live, work and visit.  While the team is currently a little depleted following PC Chambers' departure, we remain highly motivated and committed to delivering the best possible service to our community.

So, for those of you in Gospel Oak, you'll still be receiving my Ward Sergeant updates... sorry about that!

Thank you to everyone in Belsize for your support over the past year.  It has been a real privilege to serve as your Ward Sergeant and I wish both the ward and Sgt Garrett every success for the future.

I hope you have a great rest of the weekend.

All the best

Mark
