Autumn Nights Results: Increased Patrols Keeping Pimlico South Safe |

|
Dear Residents,
As part of this year's Autumn Nights campaign, the Pimlico South Safer Neighbourhood Team significantly increased patrols across the ward in the lead-up to Halloween and Bonfire Night. Officers carried out high-visibility patrols in areas identified through community concerns and previous incidents. Both marked and unmarked police vehicles were deployed throughout Pimlico South during the daytime and evening hours, providing reassurance to residents and deterring criminal and anti-social behaviour.
The operation has been a success, with officers engaging with residents, visiting known hotspot locations, and taking proactive action against those involved in criminal activity. We are pleased to report that, despite the seasonal increase in demand typically seen around Halloween and Bonfire Night, Pimlico South experienced a low number of calls relating to anti-social behaviour. We believe this was supported by increased police visibility, targeted patrols in identified hotspot locations, proactive engagement with residents, and positive enforcement activity throughout the Autumn Nights campaign. During the campaign, officers conducted a number of positive stop and searches, resulting in the seizure of drugs and fireworks. These proactive measures helped reduce opportunities for anti-social behaviour and increased police presence during a period that traditionally sees a rise in calls relating to fireworks and disorder.
Alongside enforcement activity, officers also held a Community Safety Event, where residents were able to speak directly with local officers and partner agencies about issues affecting the area. The event provided valuable crime prevention advice, discussed local concerns, and strengthened relationships between the police and the community.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the event, spoke with officers during patrols, and continued to report concerns to us. Your information helps us identify issues early and target our resources where they are needed most. Although the Autumn Nights campaign has now concluded, officers will continue to conduct patrols across Pimlico South and work with residents and partner agencies to keep our neighbourhood safe.
If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour or have concerns about criminal activity in your area, please continue to report it to police. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, call 999. For non-emergency matters, call 101 or submit a report via the Metropolitan Police website.
Thank you for your continued support. Pimlico South Safer Neighbourhood Team
