Dear Resident, We have received reports of ATM card scams at Queensbury Circle and wanted to share some simple advice to help everyone stay safe. Thieves target cash points with a variety of devices and tactics. They can put a small device into cash machines to trap your bank card. Once you walk away, they may take your card and use it to steal your money. Please remember: Check the ATM for anything unusual before using it. Always cover your PIN when entering it. Be aware of anyone standing too close or trying to distract you. Never accept help from strangers if your card gets stuck. If your card gets trapped, contact your bank straight away and block your card. Stay near the machine if it is safe to do so. Never try to remove a suspicious device yourself. If you see anything suspicious, call the police on 101. If a crime is happening or someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
