Suspicious circumstances

We're appealing for information following a report that a young boy was was walking in the area of Abbey Way, CIRENCESTER yesterday evening, Friday 6th November, when two males have shouted at him trying to get his attention.

The males have reportedly shouted ‘Police Stop’ repeatedly towards him but the males have not been in uniform or made any attempt to show identification so the boy has not stopped and gone home instead as he was unsure if they were genuine.

There has been no effort by these two males to approach or chase after the boy but understandably the incident has caused him some alarm.

If you have any further information about this incident, have seen two males in the area and experienced anything similar recently, we’d like to hear from you.
