Burglary patrols around the West Heath ward.

Burglary patrols around the West Heath ward.

Here’s an update on burglary locally.

On 05/11/2026 to 06/11/2026 officers conducted late evening patrols due to a recent spike in Asian Gold Burglaries.

Whilst on patrols officers targeted areas known to officers for recent burglaries. Officers were not able to locate any suspicious suspects however officers were able to stop a series of vehicles.

Officers stopped a vehicle on Gipsy Road. This was due to the vehicle having a number plate which officers suspected may have been stuck on. Checks showed this was not the case and the male was given words of advice regarding the number plate.

A vehicle matching the description of a vehicle being used in burglaries around the Bexley area was spotted by officers. Checks were conducted on the vehicle which resulted in no illegal activity. This vehicle stop was on Cumberland Drive.

Finally a male was stopped whilst driving on the wrong side of the road located at the roundabout at King Harold's Way in the direction of Belvedere. The driver of the vehicle was given a traffic ticket for the offence of driving without due care and attention.
