Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour. We have conducted vehicle ops and engagements. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. This week we conducted a vehicle operation on Harnall Lane East. This turned into a successful operation as we issued 10 traffic offence tickets, seized 1 e-bike and 1 car. We conducted Cuppa With Coppa events at the Gateway this week. This is a great opportunity for the residents to discuss any issues and get to know their local neighbourhood police team. We have completed engagement with the shops discussing any issues they are facing. This has been a great way to meet new shops owners and regular owners. We have been conducting foot patrols in the hotspot areas where anti-social behaviour has been taking place. This is to help reduce ongoing issues.
ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 6 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. We have also completed 16 stop and search this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: Officers have been out completing patrols in hotspot locations and conducting stop and searches. This has resulting in numerous drugs being seized. We have seen an increase in Tent Box thefts across Coventry. If you own a Tent Box, make sure you take it off your vehicle overnight, take it inside and make sure it is safe and secure. Your CCTV helps us solve real crimes. We are urging local businesses, residents, and community groups to sign up to our CCTV registry online: CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police. It only takes five minutes and can help us bring more opportunistic burglars and thieves to justice.
GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields. Street Watch Team is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe. Our website has more information and how to get involved www.west-midlands.police.uk has or contact streetwatch@westmidlands.police.uk
