Burglary arrests- Normanton

This morning, 06/11/2026, officers from Normanton Neighbourhood Team have attended an address in the Rose Hill area and arrested two people on suspicion of Burglary. They are currently in custody.

A male and female have believed to have caused significant damage to enter apartments without permission and items within appear to have been taken.

Crime scene investigators have attended the scene and taken forensic and photographic evidence. Officers have seized certain items which may be pertinent to the investigation and potentially place the suspects at the scene.

The team will be making further enquiries into events, and people within the address and more information may come to light that we can share following these investigations.

As we move into the darker nights, and the Christmas period- which can often present lucrative opportunities for thieves and burglars- it is worth reiterating some advice to ensure your home is secure:

Ensure doors and windows are locked, especially when leaving the house

Lock your car overnight, and if your vehicle has keyless entry, ensure the keys are a sufficient distance, or are kept in a faraday pouch.

Remove any expensive items, such as laptops, televisions, phones and jewellery from view of the window.

Be alert to rogue traders and scammers who may be engaging in a distraction burglary.
