Anti-Social Behaviour: Fireworks

Yesterday, Lancashire Police received several concerning phone calls from members of the public reporting youths setting off fireworks on Marine Road West, believed to be close to the battery car park and the play park near the Beach Cafe. The youths were reportedly hiding in bushes and due to the open area around this area, CCTV coverage won't provide any supporting evidence. However, there may be people who were filming or taking photographs that night and may have captured these youths. We are therefore asking that anyone with anything they may have that will support identification of these youths, to contact the police either directly replying through this message, via 101 quoting LC-20261105-1211 or via Home | Lancashire Constabulary.

We would like everyone in Morecambe to enjoy the period on and around bonefire night, and to feel safe when out with friends and family watching the fireworks. If you see anyone letting off fireworks in a dangerous manner, and there is a danger that someone might get hurt, please call 999 immediately. If someone is seriously injuried by a firework, please seek medical attention either via 999 or taking them direct to hospital if safe to do so.
