Richmond Neighbourhood Policing: A Week in Review |
||
|
This week, officers from Richmond Safer Neighbourhood teams have been working hard to keep our communities safe, tackle crime, and provide visible reassurance across the borough.
Over the past week, Richmond SNt officers have made numerous arrests for a range of offences, including:
✅ Wanted offenders arrested on warrants, court bail breaches and failures to appear at court. ✅ Arrests for robbery, shoplifting and theft-related offences. ✅ A suspect arrested for non-fatal strangulation, threats to kill and harassment. ✅ A suspect arrested for breaching a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO). ✅ A tagged offender arrested for a breaching their bail conditions. ✅ A suspect arrested during a proactive bike operation targeting cycle theft. ✅ Arrests for drunk and disorderly behaviour.
These results demonstrate the ongoing proactive work being carried out by neighbourhood officers to identify and arrest offenders, execute warrants, support victims, tackle anti-social behaviour and reduce crime across Richmond, Twickenham, Teddington, Kew, Ham, Barnes, East Sheen and the wider borough.
Last weekend, Richmond SNt officers were deployed alongside partner teams in Richmond Town Centre and Richmond Green to enforce a Section 35 Dispersal Order following concerns regarding youth disorder and anti-social behaviour. Officers dealt with incidents involving the throwing of fireworks, disorderly behaviour and groups causing concern to local residents, visitors and businesses. The dispersal authority provided officers with additional powers to intervene early, prevent escalation and maintain public safety.
In support of our communities during the Halloween and Bonfire Night period, all Richmond SNt officers have been working extended shifts until midnight throughout the week and today, providing highly visible patrols and reassurance in areas where increased anti-social behaviour and demand are traditionally expected. Additional resources have also been deployed until 0200hrs to conduct anti-social behaviour patrols, supported by increased numbers of Emergency Response officers during peak periods. These patrols will continue this weekend.
Thank you to our communities for your continued support. If you witness crime or anti-social behaviour, please report it to police.
Your information and reporting helps us target patrols and keep our neighbourhoods safe. | ||
