Six arrested during proactive overnight operation

Six people were arrested during a proactive overnight operation targeting acquisitive crime across StAlbans, with officers making arrests in Harpenden and carrying out enforcement activity to tackle offending that impacts local communities.

During the operation, officers arrested two men in connection with suspected handling of stolen goods after they were spotted acting suspiciously in Harpenden. Further arrests were made as part of a warrant executed in Borehamwood, targeting drug-related offending and wider criminality.

The action formed part of ongoing work by local teams to tackle burglary, vehicle crime and theft, while keeping residents safe.

Chief Inspector Ryan Davenport said: "The operation brought teams together to disrupt criminality, target offenders and keep our communities safe."

More proactive operations are planned as officers continue targeting those involved in acquisitive crime across the district.
