Today PCSO's Mabe & Carroll were really pleased to be able to attend the Llanymynech Community Lunch event. This is where residents all gather to meet for a lunch, hot drinks, companionship, and activities. Today the residents enjoyed a hot home-made meal, dessert, hot drinks; followed by a quiz and then a game of bingo, hosted by children and a teacher from the local school.

We spent time getting to know residents as well as catch up with some of the regulars, chatting about local issues as well as anything else that was open for discussion.

These events not only provide local (and some not so local) residents the chance to meet up for company, companionship, but also as a local policing team it is an opportunity for people to meet us and report any concerns or issues they may have. We can also gather local information for intel gathering and even identify vulnerabilities that may arise.

It cannot be overstated that these events are a vital part of community living and are beneficial for both the local residents and us in the Police.
