Successful Walk & Talk Strengthens Community Engagement in Preston

Dear Preston,

A big thank you to everyone who attended our recent Walk & Talk event in Preston. It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout of residents who are passionate about their community and committed to working alongside local policing to make Preston a safer place for all.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for officers and residents to engage in meaningful conversations, share concerns, and discuss local priorities in an informal setting. It was particularly encouraging to welcome several new attendees from parts of the ward that are often harder to reach, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the discussion.

The walk concluded with a comfortable and productive final stop at the local library, allowing participants additional time to continue conversations and strengthen relationships within the community.

These events are an important part of building trust and confidence between the public and local policing teams. The positive engagement demonstrated by residents highlights the strong community spirit that exists across Preston and the willingness to work together to address local issues.

Thank you once again to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event. We look forward to seeing even more residents at future Walk & Talk sessions.
