Local Priorities Burglary - Residential Message |

|
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Burglary - Residential, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Over the weekend we have seen some reports of Burglaries particularly in more secluded and Rural areas. Please ensure your properties are secured in both Rural and City areas, including any out buildings/garages/sheds. Small security measures can make a big difference to deter opportunistic criminals. If you think something is suspicious, please report it - you never know what you could be interrupting by doing so. Burglary is a particularly invasive crime that can have a lasting impact on victims. If you have been a victim and need support and help, you should have been offered the services of Victim Support. You may have declined at the time, or not noticed the offer, but can refer yourself at any time by either calling 02890243133 or visiting their website www.victimsupportni.com Reducing opportunities for burglary can make a real difference. Simple steps such as locking doors and windows, securing valuables, using outdoor lighting and keeping homes and business premises well maintained can help reduce risk and deter offenders. If you see suspicious activity or have information that could help prevent crime in your area, please report it to PSNI either by calling 101 or online via psni.police.uk/report Get Involved Please consider getting involved and contribute to the local priority survey, we may be unaware of issues that you would like us to focus on.
