Community Reassurance Visit |
||
|
Today, officers from the Barkingside and Clayhall Safer Neighbourhood Team were out conducting reassurance visits within the community when they came across a resident who had accidentally locked herself out of her home after her front door closed behind her. With no way to regain access and facing the prospect of waiting outside until her husband returned later that evening, officers stepped in to assist. After assessing the situation, PC Omar Pereira (1940EA) safely entered the property through a small window and was able to open the front door from inside, allowing the resident back into her home. The resident was extremely grateful for the assistance provided and relieved to be able to get back indoors without having to wait for several hours. A special thanks goes to PC Omar Pereira for his quick thinking and willingness to go the extra mile to help a member of our community. We would also like to thank the helpful neighbour who kindly provided a ladder, making access to the window safer and easier. This is a great example of local officers working together with the community to help residents when they need it most. Well done to PC Omar Pereira and all officers involved. 👏🚔 BarkingsideSNT,ClayhallSNT ,CommunityPolicing ,HereToHelp
