🎃 High-Visibility Halloween Patrols in Hampstead Town 👻

On SATURDAY evening, 31/10/2026, officers from the Hampstead Town Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out high-visibility patrols across the local area during the Halloween celebrations.

It was that special time of year when we repeatedly heard the classic question:

“Are you real police officers? or those are nice Halloween Costumes!” 👮😂

We can confirm that the uniforms were real, the officers were real and the patrols were definitely real! The joke was made several times throughout the evening, but it still gave us a laugh every time.

During the patrols, a Police Officer and Police Community Support Officer spoke with residents, families and visitors while providing a visible and reassuring presence in the community.

It was great to see so many people enjoying Halloween safely and responsibly. Thank you to everyone who stopped to speak with the team, shared a joke or simply gave us a friendly wave.

Although Halloween has now passed, our patrols continue throughout the year. We remain committed to engaging with the community, providing reassurance and helping to keep Hampstead Town safe.

If a crime is taking place or someone is in immediate danger, call 999. For non-emergencies, call 101 or report online.

We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Halloween! 🎃👻🚓
