Halloween Weekend News

Resident Good evening, we are pleased to update you our Halloween weekend policing operation has been an overall success. Your neighbourhood police team have been busy doing additional patrols across the area and engaging with the public and local businesses.

Last nights highlights for some of the team were definitely seeing the hundreds of parents and children Trick or Treating along All Saints Avenue. Thank you to those of you that stopped and spoke to us, so many fantastic costumes being worn.

As you may already know a dispersal order was put in place for Friday and Saturday to cover the town centre and Furze Platt (including Laggan Road) area. This was due to incidents of crime and anti social behaviour which took place on the evening of 24th October, predominantly at locations in Furze Platt.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage of these incidents and are confident some of those involved will be identified and dealt with in the coming weeks.

It is believed the large group of 20+ teenage boys were mostly from across Maidenhead.

Going out and being teenagers is one thing, however being involved in anti social behaviour, committing crime and terrorising people is completely not acceptable. If you have teenage children please make this very clear, actions have consequences.

Whilst we cannot state there was no anti social behaviour over Halloween weekend, reported incidents were one of the lowest in recent years.
