🚗 Has Your Sat Nav Got the Speed Limit Wrong? 🚗 |
||
|
We have recently received reports of sat navs displaying incorrect speed limits on some local roads where speed limits have been reduced. Please remember that the posted roadside speed limit signs are the legal speed limit and must always be followed, regardless of what your sat nav displays. An incorrect speed limit shown on a sat nav would not normally be accepted as a reason for exceeding the speed limit. Many sat nav systems rely on mapping providers such as Google Maps, TomTom, HERE Maps and Garmin for speed limit information. Following changes to speed limits, it can sometimes take time for digital maps and sat nav systems to be updated. If you notice an incorrect speed limit on your sat nav, consider reporting it to the relevant mapping provider. For example, to report an incorrect speed limit on Google Maps: 📍 Open Google Maps By reporting errors, you can help improve the accuracy of mapping systems for all road users. ✅ Always follow roadside speed limit signs #RoadSafety #SpeedLimits #CommunitySafety 🚔🛣️🚗 | ||
