Crime Ref: CAD3731 of 01NOV26Dear Resident, A burglary took place yesterday evening, Saturday 31 October, at 1759hrs on at a property on Hoylake Crescent - even-numbered side close to the junction with The Mead. It is currently unclear whether initial entry to the property was from the road to the front or from the rear using the footpath adjacent to the River Pinn. Action required please: If you live on Hoylake Crescent or adjoining roads and cul-de-sacs please take a moment now to check your CCTV and/or video doorbells between 1740hrs and 1810hrs for any suspicious vehicle movements or footfall. The 15 minutes before the burglary are crucial - the criminals will almost certainly have driven around looking for suitable properties to burgle, usually slowly or occasionally stopping, and this may give us a direction of travel or vehicle type and colour for example.Similarly for their getaway they will not have remained in the property for that long, so do you capture their exit or their car leaving at speed after the event along nearby roads? If you live on any of the roads that radiate from the bridge over the River Pinn, to the east or to the west, it is possible that the burglars parked a vehicle there to use the footpath to gain entry. Did your cameras capture anything in the vicinity of the footbridge?Do you have a dashcam and did you perhaps by chance pass the burglars' vehicle on your way to or from your home?If you have any information at all that may help the police, they can be contacted using any of the methods shown on the www.hillingdonnhw.co.uk home page, quoting the above reference. Please also contact your local Neighbourhood Watch team at ickenhamnhw@gmail.com who will work closely with officers to identify viable sources of evidence for this case. Crime Prevention: This message is being circulated across the whole Ward because burglars often strike more than one property in succession in an area, and is a reminder to make all residents aware of the need to make your home look occupied when you are out. |
