Good Morning Beam Park Residents, A fresh and chilly morning to start the day, but that didn't stop me getting out and about for an early walk around our ward. I set off at 07:15am and covered a number of locations across Beam Park, taking the opportunity to carry out reassurance patrols and engage with residents. It was great to receive several friendly "good mornings" from residents heading to work, taking children to school, or making their way to the local shops. These conversations are an important part of neighbourhood policing and help us stay connected with our community. Why are high-visibility foot patrols important? ✅ Provide reassurance to residents and businesses. ✅ Help deter crime and antisocial behaviour through a visible police presence. ✅ Allow officers to identify and address issues early before they escalate. ✅ Create opportunities for residents to speak with us, share concerns, and seek advice. ✅ Enable us to gather local intelligence and better understand the needs of the community. Being out on foot also allows us to access areas that vehicles cannot, ensuring we remain visible and approachable throughout the ward. Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello this morning. If you see us out on patrol, please don't hesitate to come over for a chat, report concerns, or simply say good morning. Stay safe and have a great day, Beam Park! 🚓👮♀️🚶♀️ See photos below of some of the locations covered during this morning's patrol. 📸 |
