Dear Resident, Here is our weekly update from the Northfield Neighbourhood team. Our Priorities Retail Crime & High Street Safety: Addressing shoplifting and antisocial behaviour on Northfield High Street through partnership with the Northfield Business Improvement District (BID)Targeting Drug Offences: Increasing patrols to address reports of drug use and dealing, with Operation Wayfarer focusing on disrupting these issues.Begging and Street Population: Addressing issues around street begging, drug use and anti social behaviour in public spaces.Crime Prevention & Youth Intervention: Focussing on reducing shop theft, providing early intervention and tackling organised crime in the Birmingham area What’s been happening? Officers have been patrolling Northfield Highstreet with partner agencies and handing out advice surrounding how to keep yourself safe during the winter months and minimizing the effective of burglars. One male was arrested for driving without a license and insurance, his vehicle was seized and we are continuing our enquires A community meeting was held at CO-OP and the surrounding area. Good News 3x offenders have been arrested by Northfield/ Weoley officers. Officers have been attending more incidents, taking reports and supporting members of the public in our constituency.
