Dear Resident, As Halloween arrives and Bonfire Night approaches, your Kentish Town Safer Neighbourhoods Team would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable time. We know that this time of year brings excitement for many, particularly children and young people. However, we also recognise that Halloween and Bonfire Night can be unsettling for some residents, especially those who are elderly, vulnerable or concerned about anti-social behaviour.
🎃 Halloween – Trick or Treating If you’re heading out trick or treating this evening, please remember: Be mindful of your surroundings and take extra care when crossing roads.
🎆 Bonfire Night – Firework Safety With Bonfire Night approaching on Wednesday 5 November, we encourage residents to enjoy fireworks safely and responsibly. Remember that fireworks can cause significant distress to people and animals alike.
👮♂️ Increased Police Presence & Anti-Social Behaviour Your local Safer Neighbourhoods officers will be out and about across Kentish Town South this evening, providing a visible presence, engaging with residents and responding to concerns. There will also be a Section 35 Dispersal Order in force covering the London Borough of Camden. from midday on 30/10/2026 to Midday on 01/11/2026 (48 hours). We want everyone to enjoy themselves, but we ask that celebrations remain respectful of others. Deliberate misuse of fireworks, criminal damage, intimidation and other forms of anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated, and officers will take appropriate action where necessary. We also encourage parents and guardians to know where their children are, who they are spending time with and what they are doing throughout the evening.
📞 Reporting Concerns If you witness anti-social behaviour or have concerns about activity in your neighbourhood, please report it through the Metropolitan Police website at www.met.police.uk or by calling 101. In an emergency, or where a crime is taking place and there is an immediate risk to someone’s safety, always call 999.
🎃 Working Together for a Safer Kentish Town South Our neighbourhood is home to a diverse community, and we want everyone to feel safe and comfortable during the festivities, whether they’re out celebrating or enjoying a quiet evening at home. A little consideration for one another goes a long way.
From all of us at the Kentish Town Safer Neighbourhoods Team, have a safe, enjoyable and happy Halloween and Bonfire Night! | ||
