Today Officers have been made aware of a Roofing/ builder offering work on roofs and asking for cash up front. Unknown male has knocked on two addresses in Tettenhall claiming the owners roofs are damaged and he would repair for free, but whilst on the roof he has found more damage (Criminal Damage) and asked for money upfront so he can pay for the scaffolding.  On both occasions cheques were handed over by the victims which were for large sums of money but luckily for them the bank intervened and the cheques were cancelled.

Please don't allow anyone that comes to your door uninvited onto your property.

Genuine builders/Contractors should never ask for money up front.

We have also received reports about Door to Door sales people in the area. Again if you are'nt expecting anyone to visit simply don't answer the doors. The days are getting Darker and we need to be more vigilant.

EVENTS

Tettenhall PCSO's have been busy this week. We started off with a visit to Tally Ho Mounted Unit after I arranged a visit for the Ladies who rescued  horses during the devasting Summer Fires in Stourbridge. We were able to meet all the Police horses and watch them train, it was a very rewarding visit.

We have also been out visiting our elderly residents giving out no Trick or Treat cards for their doors. Knife sweeps were also conducted around our local parks  and they were all in order.

Tonight we are being used as an ASB car and will be deployed to any instances of ASB during the Halloween activities on the West Section of the City. We are also planning on popping into the Ukrainian centre for the Halloween celebrations.

Have a Happy and safe weekend

Regards
