I nipped over the hill this morning to assist officers with an incident in Ledbury. Whilst driving back along the high street I spotted a van parked at a pedestrian crossing, on the zig zag lines. The driver, who was delivering packages, showed me an insurance policy document, but after checking with the insurance company, it had been cancelled. The driver was reported for driving a motor vehicle with no insurance and for parking on zig zag lines, which itself can earn the driver 6 points on their license. The vehicle was seized and the driver had to arrange alternative transport for the rest of his deliveries.
