Community update from your neighbourhood team |

Dear Resident
Since our last update, we've continued working to tackle local concerns, support communities, and make our neighbourhoods safer. Here's a snapshot of some of that work.
Community walk abouts Officers from the Wellingborough Neighbourhood Team have been working closely with Police Liaison Representatives (PLRs) at Parish Councils across the area to carry out walk abouts. These walk abouts provide an opportunity to identify any areas of concern for the neighbourhood officers to address such as anti-social motorcycle nuisance, road safety and parking concerns, and drug dealing and drug misuse.
Police surgeries Officers hold regular surgeries across the area at community centres, libraries, and shared public spaces. Surgeries are advertised in advance via Northamptonshire Talking, our social media pages, and our force website, providing residents with the opportunity to speak to their local team in person and discuss any concerns.
Vehicle recovery The team have recently recovered a lorry that was found to be unroadworthy and untaxed from Park Farm in the Queensway area whilst out on patrol, carrying an unsafe load of pallets. Officers can seize a vehicle if they think it’s being used in a way that causes alarm, harassment or distress, for example careless or inconsiderate driving. They can also seize a vehicle if they think it’s:
Court order secured Following persistent complaints about anti-social behaviour linked to a house in Wellingborough, your neighbourhood team has secured a court order to close the address for three-months. For more than a year, the team has been responding to reports of anti-social behaviour at the property in Priory Road on the Kingsway estate. Despite the tenant receiving warnings from both the police and the housing association, which owns the property, about their unacceptable behaviour, they continued to shout and verbally abuse other residents. In addition to this, there were reports of drug dealing at the address with people coming and going at all hours, which also encouraged loitering in the communal garden and nearby alleyway by those visiting the house.
