Night time poaching awareness

Night time poaching awareness

Please be aware that there is an increase in night-time activity around Elsham, Barrow, Melton Ross and Saxby all Saints. This is lamping, night poaching and vehicles driving across fields and damaging the crops which we have also seen at Bonby.

If anyone see vehicles driving across fields in this area at night or see them in suspicious circumstances in the areas above please call 999 or 101 as the situation dictates. We will have Rural Taskforce, Traffic and Neighbourhoods Officers in the area or dispatched toward this should any calls be made.

The people involved in this are not only lamping and night poaching. They will be looking at premises and properties for any opportunity to commit further acts of criminality aside from the organised crime aspect that the poaching and coursing is linked to.
