Good afternoon,
I would like to continue making residents aware of ongoing concerns regarding organised vehicle meets and car cruising events taking place across areas of North Northamptonshire.
These gatherings often involve large numbers of vehicles and can result in anti-social behaviour, excessive noise, dangerous driving, racing, drifting and obstruction of roads. Such activity causes significant disruption to local communities and can present a serious risk to public safety.
Northamptonshire Police are working closely with partner agencies to identify those responsible and explore long-term solutions to address the problem. As part of this work, we are currently exploring the possibility of implementing a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) to help address the ongoing issues associated with car cruising and organised vehicle meets. Community information and feedback will play an important role in evidencing the impact these gatherings are having on residents and businesses.
📢 We ask residents to continue reporting incidents to police and to share any information they may have, including: 🚗 Dates and times of vehicle meets.
☎️ If an incident is taking place and requires police attendance, please report it via 101 or 999 in an emergency.
💻 Information can also be submitted online via the Northamptonshire Police website or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Your continued support and reporting assist us in identifying offenders, directing patrols and working with partners to reduce the impact of vehicle-related anti-social behaviour across our communities. Information provided by residents will also help build the evidence required to support future measures, including the consideration of a Public Spaces Protection Order.
