Looking out for one another this Halloween weekend 🎃

Looking out for one another this Halloween weekend 🎃

With more people heading out and visitors making their way around our neighbourhoods, please take a moment to look out for those living nearby. Check in with neighbours who may appreciate some extra reassurance and stay alert to anything unusual.

Our officers will be carrying out proactive patrols across the county throughout the weekend, providing a visible presence, engaging with residents and helping to keep our communities safe.

If you’re heading out yourself, take a few moments to secure your home before you leave. Lock all doors and windows, including upstairs windows and side or rear entrances. Make sure alarms, CCTV and video doorbells are working, leave a light on where possible and secure sheds, garages and other outbuildings. Keep valuables and keys safe and out of sight.

If you have a concern or something doesn’t feel quite right, please report it to us by calling 101. If you witness a crime in progress or there is an immediate risk to someone’s safety, always call 999.

By taking a few simple precautions and continuing to look out for one another, we can all help make Halloween weekend safe and enjoyable.

We’ll be out in our communities and here if you need us.

Happy Halloween everyone!
