Dear Resident,

Our Priorities

What’s Been Happening?

With Half Term week upon us our Neighbourhood Team have been intensifying our focus on our high demand areas. Longbridge Retail Park has been very busy so far this week. We have encountered several large groups of youths who we have engaged with positively and some who we have moved on due to causing anti-social behaviour. We have focused our presence within the evenings as this has been when reports of youths in larger groups have been reported to us.

The Arden Road Shops within New Frankley is another area that we have patrolled this week and also joined up with Purple Diamond which is a community organisation in Birmingham whose staff are deployed to areas with the focus on youth engagement and support.

PCSO’s had the pleasure of meeting a young boy who had his picture taken with the Police Car for his Birthday. He told them how much he loved the Police and even had his own Police Uniform!

PCSO’s responded to a report of an abandoned car parked on the corner of the pavement of Hopwood Grove causing an obstruction. After checks were made, the vehicle was untaxed and seized from the location.

PCSO’s joined our StreetWatch Group for our monthly patrol and this one had the addition of placing Poppies all around the estate in readiness for Remembrance Day. They all looked amazing and it was a great demonstration of community spirit.

Look Out For

Our next PCSO Meets The Community 12th November at Arden Road Shops 10:00-11:00
