CCTV request following suspicious male trying car door handles

Hello Shildon Resident - we have been made aware of a male acting suspiciously early hours of this morning trying car door handles. We have not received any official reports however we would like to make members of the community aware of this. We know the male has been in the area of Byerley Road and surrounding streets.

We would also appreciate any cctv people may have.

28/10/2026 between 0100hrs and 0400hrs.

We ask that any footage that has been captured could be forwarded to Jessica.brown2@durham.police.uk including your name and address please.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Jess Brown
