Help Protect Scarborough This Bonfire Night

Bonfire Night is a chance for communities to come together and celebrate safely.

Residents are encouraged to attend organised fireworks displays wherever possible. These events are one of the safest ways to enjoy the festivities and help reduce the risk of accidents, fires and disruption within local communities.

If you plan to use fireworks at home, make sure they are purchased from licensed, reputable retailers and always follow the manufacturer's safety guidance. Remember to think beyond your garden and consider the impact fireworks can have on neighbours, pets and vulnerable residents.

If you have concerns about the sale of fireworks, report them to Trading Standards. Anti-social behaviour involving fireworks, their possession in public places, or use outside permitted hours should be reported to the police.

By staying alert, looking out for one another and celebrating responsibly, we can all help keep our families, neighbours and communities safe this Bonfire Night.

Stay safe. Stay vigilant. Protect Scarborough this Bonfire Night.
