Halloween Notice

Advice for Halloween!

Stay Safe and Visible

Go with a group: Always stay in small groups or travel with a responsible adult, and never go into a stranger's house.

Be seen in the dark: Wear bright or light-coloured clothing, add reflective tape to your costume, and carry a torch or glow stick.

Watch the road: Use pavements, cross at safe corners or crosswalks, and look all ways before crossing.

Respect Neighbours and Property

Pick the right houses: Only knock on doors that have lights on, have Halloween decorations up, or explicitly welcome visitors.

Obey "no" signs: Do not knock if there is a "No Trick or Treat" or "No Callers" sign displayed.

Keep it polite: If people do not answer or have no treats left, smile and move on without making a fuss.

Skip the pranks: Avoid anti-social behaviour like throwing eggs, flour, or littering wrappers on the street
