Possible Scam Caller

Dear Residents,

Please be aware of a male individual who has been knocking on doors claiming to be from Pension Credit and stating that he needs to personally deliver a letter.

Following enquiries with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), residents have been advised that they would not send representatives door-to-door to hand-deliver Pension Credit letters, and this approach is believed to be a potential scam.

Please remember:

Do not provide any personal, financial, or banking information at your door.

Ask for identification, but do not rely on it alone.

If you are unsure, do not engage and contact the relevant organisation directly using official contact details.

Report any suspicious activity to the police via 101, or 999 if a crime is in progress.

If you have been approached by someone matching this description or have any information, please report it to the police.

Stay vigilant and look out for vulnerable neighbours.
