Joint Blue Badge Operation in Valentines Ward |
||
|
Today, Valentines Ward officers joined forces with Redbridge Council to carry out a Blue Badge enforcement operation across the ward. The operation focused on tackling the misuse of Blue Badges, particularly those that have been reported lost, stolen, counterfeit, or are being used unlawfully. We know that genuine Blue Badge holders rely on these permits to access essential services and maintain their independence, so protecting the scheme remains a priority. During the operation, a number of badges were checked and enquiries were carried out. Officers and council partners identified instances where badges were being misused, including a Blue Badge belonging to a deceased person and intelligence relating to the use of fraudulent badges. By working together, we are able to: ✅ Protect vulnerable residents Thank you to our colleagues at Redbridge Council for their continued partnership in keeping our community safe and ensuring parking concessions are available for those who genuinely need them. If you have information regarding Blue Badge misuse, please report it via Redbridge Council or contact police on 101.
