You may have spotted us out and about today!

Dear Resident

Today, between cloudburst, we were out and about carrying out speed checks in our local villages and around the town.

The result? Some drivers received a friendly word of advice, while others found themselves reported for speeding offences.

We know the roads around Stratford and our surrounding villages are important to the people who live, work and travel here. We also know that speeding is a real concern for local residents, particularly in residential areas and villages where pedestrians, cyclists and families need to feel safe.

A few seconds saved really aren't worth putting someone's life at risk.

So, whether you're driving through town, passing through one of our villages, or heading home along a country road, please:  Keep an eye on your speed.  Respect the communities you're driving through.  Look out for pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.

Our message is simple: It's not about catching you out; it's about keeping everyone safe.

We'll continue to carry out speed checks in response to local concerns, so please don't let your journey become a race against the clock!

Slow down, arrive safely. Every journey matters.
