Community Resolution – Shoplifting Incident

While reviewing CCTV footage relating to a previous shoplifting offence, the store manager informed officers that a male had just stolen items from the shop and left without making payment.

Officers exited the store and observed a male matching the description walking away from the premises. The male was stopped and searched, during which the stolen items were recovered.

The male admitted the offence and was dealt with by way of a Community Resolution. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the store and the male was also made to apologise to the store.
