Working together this Haloween

Working together this Haloween

Good Morning,

As Halloween approaches this Saturday, Kent Police and Neighbourhood Watch are encouraging residents to enjoy the celebrations safely and responsibly.

For many families, Halloween is an opportunity to have fun and spend time with friends and neighbours. However, increased activity can sometimes lead to concerns around anti-social behaviour, nuisance or criminal damage.

Neighbourhood Watch volunteers and local communities play an important role in helping us keep neighbourhoods safe. By working together, we can help ensure that everyone has a positive experience.

Neighbourhood Watch members can support their communities by:

Remaining aware of activity within their local area.

Sharing community safety messages with neighbours, friends and local groups.

Being mindful of vulnerable residents who may be affected by increased activity during the evening.

Reporting suspicious activity, anti-social behaviour or criminal damage through the appropriate channels.

Encouraging considerate parking and safe driving, particularly in residential areas where children may be out celebrating.

How You Can Help

Whether you're welcoming trick-or-treaters, spending time with family, or simply at home during the evening, your awareness and local knowledge can make a real difference.

By looking out for one another, sharing information responsibly and reporting concerns when necessary, we can work together to support safe and enjoyable Halloween celebrations across our communities.

In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, always call 999. For non-emergency matters, please report via 101 or online.

Thank you to all our Neighbourhood Watch volunteers for the ongoing support, reassurance and community spirit you provide throughout the year.
