WHEN TO CALL 101
📞 Know When to Call 101 or Report Online 💻 Not every incident requires an emergency response, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be reported. By using 101 or your local police force's online reporting services for non-emergencies, you help keep 999 available for those in immediate danger.
☎️ Call 101 or report online if: 🟡 A crime has already happened 🟡 Your property has been stolen or damaged 🟡 You want to report antisocial behaviour 🟡 You have concerns about suspicious activity 🟡 You have information about a crime 🟡 You need police advice or wish to make us aware of an issue in your area 💻 Reporting online can be a quick and convenient option for many non-emergency incidents, allowing you to provide details and upload photographs or documents where appropriate. 📍 When making a report, try to include: ✅ What happened ✅ When and where it occurred ✅ Descriptions of any people, vehicles, or property involved ✅ Details of any witnesses or evidence
💙 Don't assume someone else has reported it. Information that may seem insignificant to you could help identify offenders, build intelligence, or support an ongoing investigation.
🚨 Remember: If there is an immediate threat to life, a crime in progress, or someone is in danger, always call 999. No emergency? Call 101 or report online. Your information matters. | ||
