Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association Recruitment |
||
|
This is a message from Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association (WDNHWA). WDNHWA was established in June 1994 and has been very involved in the development and enhancement of Neighbourhood Watch throughout most of the Wycombe district since then. In the last few years, new types of schemes have been started for sheltered housing sites, retirement homes, care homes (for the staff), a medical centre, at each of the four main mosques in High Wycombe, Cressex Community School (as Youth Watch for the pupils), and for the many students at Bucks New University. Quite apart from its role in helping to prevent burglaries, car crime and anti-social behaviour, the association has been very active since early in 2017 in holding advice meetings so that people can become more aware of the considerable and growing risks posed by cons & scams. We are constantly adapting our way of working to keep up with changing communication methods, technology and people’s needs. The association now needs help by recruiting a Publicity Officer to its committee. This person will be responsible for preparing articles (often based on existing material) for the many local magazines and newsletters. If you are interested, the association would welcome hearing from you by email via: Interested candidates will be welcome to attend one of our committee meetings to learn more about us. Thank you. | ||
