Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) |
||
|
As part of our commitment to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), we recognise the pivotal role that local communities play in helping us identify concerns and improve the safety for women and girls in our ward. Understanding the experiences, perceptions, and concerns of those who live, work, and travel in our communities helps us better target resources, address local issues, and develop effective solutions.
In recent years, we have seen growing trust and engagement between women and girls and the police. Increased reporting and continued partnership working demonstrate our shared commitment to preventing and reducing violence against women and girls.
To help us build on this progress, we are inviting members of the public to attend VAWG events on the: -02/12/2026 from 17:00 to 19:00 at Mile End Tube Station.
Mile End Safer Neighbourhood Team and Tower Hamlets Enforcement Officers will be present during these meetings.
We look forward for your feedback. We wish to gain valuable insight into local concerns, help us understand where further action is needed, and ensure our efforts are focused on the issues that matter most to our communities.
