Good News Update – Action Being Taken in Ordsall Park and Across the Neighbourhood

Good afternoon residents,

We know residents have raised concerns regarding anti-social behaviour and criminality in and around Ordsall Park. We want to reassure the community that these issues continue to be a priority for your neighbourhood policing team, and positive action is being taken.

Since the beginning of the month:

✅ Two young people have been arrested in connection with arson offences linked to Ordsall Park.

✅ One young person has been arrested for criminal damage at Quayside Shopping Centre.

✅ One young person has been arrested following a racially aggravated assault at McDonald's, Capital Quays.

✅ Several other young people have been interviewed under caution in relation to a range of offences across the neighbourhood.

These results demonstrate our commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour and criminality wherever evidence exists to support enforcement action. We continue to work closely with partner agencies, local businesses and the community to identify offenders, gather evidence and take appropriate action.

We would like to thank residents who have reported incidents and shared information with us. Your support plays a vital role in helping us build evidence and achieve positive outcomes.

We will continue to carry out high-visibility patrols, engage with young people, and take robust action against those responsible for causing harm or distress in our community.

If you witness anti-social behaviour or crime, please continue to report it to us. Together, we can make Ordsall a safer place for everyone.
