KEEPING VALLEY WARD SAFE

A Message from Your Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team

As Halloween approaches, our officers will be out on patrol working with residents and partners to help keep Valley Ward safe.

Whether you're trick-or-treating, attending a local event or spending time with family and friends, please celebrate responsibly and show consideration for others.

👻 TRICK-OR-TREAT SAFETY

✅ Stay in groups
✅ Carry a torch and wear reflective clothing
✅ Be accompanied by an adult if you're younger
✅ Only visit homes clearly welcoming trick-or-treaters
✅ Tell someone where you are going

❤️ RESPECT VULNERABLE RESIDENTS

Please remember that loud noises, masks and large groups can cause distress to:

 👵 Older residents
🏥 Those with disabilities or health conditions
👶 Young children
🐕 Pets

If a property displays a "No Trick-or-Treat" sign or is not decorated, please respect the resident's wishes.

🚫 HALLOWEEN IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

❌ Throwing eggs, flour or fireworks
❌ Criminal damage or vandalism
❌ Trespassing on private property
❌ Intimidation, disorder or nuisance behaviour

🔥 FIREWORK SAFETY

Keep fireworks away from children and never carry or throw them in public places.
