Halloween

Halloween

Hi Resident,

It’s nearly Halloween! While trick-or-treating is a lot of fun for children, it can be distressing and intimidating for older or more vulnerable residents in our community.

If you are heading out tonight, please follow Greater Manchester Police's safety advice:

Look out for "Treacle" posters – only knock where you see a welcoming sign, and respect houses displaying a "No Trick or Treaters" poster.

Respect your neighbours – do not go out too late, only knock or ring once, and be prepared to take "no" for an answer.

Stay safe – go in a small group with a responsible adult, stay on the doorstep, and wear bright or reflective clothing so drivers can see you.

Be kind – remember that throwing flour/eggs, playing pranks, or intimidating people is anti-social behaviour and can lead to police action.

Let’s keep it fun, safe, and respectful for everyone!

To report non-emergency concerns, use LiveChat at www.gmp.police.uk or call 101. In an emergency, always dial 999.
