🎃 Halloween Community Reminder 🎃

🎃 Halloween Community Reminder 🎃

Dear all,

As Halloween approaches, Thamesmead East Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to remind parents, guardians and local business owners about their important role in helping keep our communities safe and enjoyable for everyone.

While Halloween can be a fun occasion for young people, the misuse of items such as eggs and flour can lead to criminal damage, anti-social behaviour, and unnecessary distress to residents. We ask local retailers to remain vigilant when selling these products and to be mindful of large purchases by young people.

We also encourage parents and guardians to speak with their children about behaving responsibly while celebrating Halloween. Throwing eggs, flour, or other objects at people, homes, vehicles, or businesses is not harmless fun and can result in criminal offences being recorded.

By working together, parents, businesses, and the local community can help ensure that Halloween remains a safe, enjoyable, and respectful event for all. If you witness anti-social behaviour or have concerns, please report it to the police through the appropriate channels.

Let's make this Halloween one to remember for the right reasons. Stay safe and look out for one another.
