Storm Boelo: Stay Safe and Be Prepared

Storm Boelo: Stay Safe and Be Prepared

Cleveland Police is reminding residents to take extra care as Storm Boelo brings strong winds and adverse weather conditions across our area.

Please take sensible precautions to help keep yourself, your family and your property safe:

• Avoid unnecessary travel where possible and allow extra time for essential journeys.
• Take care when driving, especially on exposed roads and bridges. Watch for fallen trees, debris and surface water.
• Secure loose outdoor items such as bins, garden furniture and trampolines to prevent them from becoming hazards in high winds.
• Check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours, friends and family members who may need support.
• If you encounter fallen power lines, do not approach them and report them immediately to the relevant utility provider.

In an emergency where there is an immediate risk to life, always call 999. For non-emergency matters, contact Cleveland Police online or by calling 101.

Please continue to monitor weather updates and follow advice from emergency services and local authorities.

Stay safe and look after one another.
