On Friday 23 October 2026, North Area officers led a proactive multi-agency operation targeting high street businesses suspected of operating illegal gambling activities from their premises.
The operation was conducted along Green Lanes N21 in response to numerous concerns and complaints raised by local residents/businesses regarding criminality and anti-social behaviour linked to these locations. Officers were supported by colleagues from the National Crime Agency (NCA) and Immigration Enforcement.
As a result of the operation, eight individuals were arrested for a range of offences, with enquiries currently ongoing.
This activity demonstrates our continued commitment to working with partners to tackle organised criminality, protect local communities, and respond to concerns raised by residents. We will continue to utilise intelligence-led operations and partnership resources to identify and disrupt those involved in criminal activity across the North Area.
